Comment obtenir la mise a niveau Windows 10
Windows 10 sera disponible pour téléchargement à
compter du 29 juillet 2015. Pour que
votre ordinateur se qualifie pour la mise à niveau, vous devez avoir une licence
valide de Windows 7 SP1 ou Windows 8 installée sur votre ordinateur.
Vous pouvez réserver votre mise à jour en
cliquant sur le petit icone Windows dans le coin droit de votre barre de tâche
et en sélectionnant "Obtenir
Windows 10". Le processus demande
votre adresse courriel et le 29 juillet vous recevrez un avis que le nouveau
système d'exploitation est disponible.
La
configuration minimale est simple, Microsoft dit que n'importe quel ordinateur
qui utilise Windows 7 ou Windows 8 pourra utiliser Windows 10. Vous pouvez vérifier les exigences minimales
et les caractéristiques en cliquant sur ce lien.
Vous aurez besoin de cet espace libre sur votre disque dur pour l'installation:
16 Go pour le système d'exploitation 32-bit et 20 Go pour le système
d'exploitation 64-bit.
Les applications, fichiers et
configurations seront migrés en faisant la mise à niveau. Pour l'antivirus et l'anti programmes
malveillants, Windows vérifiera si votre abonnement est à jour. Après la mise à niveau, la version la plus
récente de votre antivirus ou anti programmes malveillants sera installée tout
en gardant vos paramètres précédents. Si
votre abonnement est expiré, Windows activera Windows Defender.
Tel qu'indiqué dans mon billet précédent, certaines applications ne seront
pas disponibles avec Windows 10. Par
contre, certaines nouvelles applications seront ajoutées avec la mise à niveau.
Cortana : une application de reconnaissance de la voix
similaire à Siri dans le monde d’IOS. Elle ne sera disponible sur Windows 10 qu’aux
États Unis, au Royaume Uni, en Chine, en France, en Italie, en Allemagne et en
Espagne. Il requiert un micro haute-fidélité
pour fonctionner correctement.
Windows Bonjour : une application qui permet d'accéder à votre
ordinateur sans entrer un mot de passe. Elle
nécessite un appareil photo infrarouge spécialisé pour la reconnaissance
faciale ou la détection de l’iris ou un lecteur d’empreintes digitales qui
prend en charge Windows Biometric Framework.
Continuum : permet d’activer et de désactiver manuellement
le mode tablette dans le Centre de maintenance. Les tablettes et les appareils
2-en-1 dotés d’indicateurs d’entrée et de sortie pour un usage général ou ceux
dotés d’un indicateur de portable ou de tablette peuvent être configurés de
façon à passer automatiquement en mode tablette.

La mise à niveau est gratuite aussi
longtemps que votre appareil est fonctionnel.
Ceux qui ne mettent pas à niveau dans la première année devront faire
l'achat d'une licence Windows 10 pour faire la mise à niveau. Vous devez réserver votre mise à niveau pour
chaque appareil. La réservation est associée
à l'appareil et non à l'usager.

How to get the
Windows 10 upgrade
Windows 10 will be available for download as of July 29, 2015. To qualify for the upgrade you need to have a
valid license for Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 8 installed on your computer.
You can reserve your upgrade by clicking on the small Windows icon at
the bottom right of the screen in the task bar and selecting "Get Windows
10". The process asks for you email
address and on July 29 you’ll get a notification that the new operating system
is available.
The system requirements are simple, Microsoft says any PC
currently running Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 8 will be able to run Windows
10. You can check the system
requirements and available features by clicking
this link. You will need the
following free space on your hard drive for the install: 16 GB for 32-bit OS 20
GB for 64-bit OS.
Applications,
files and settings will migrate as part of the upgrade. For anti-virus and anti-malware applications,
Windows will check if your subscription is current. After the upgrade, Windows will install the
latest available version of your anti-virus and anti-malware with the settings
that were set before the upgrade. If your
subscription is not current, the upgrade will enable Windows Defender.
As indicated
in my previous
blog post, some applications will not be available in Windows 10. However new applications will be added with
the upgrade.
Cortana: This is a speech recognition application
similar to Siri in the IOS world. It
will only be available on Windows 10 for the United States, United Kingdom,
China, France, Italy, Germany, and Spain.
It requires a high fidelity microphone to work properly.
Windows Hello: This is an application that will allow you to
access your computer without entering a password. It requires specialized illuminated infrared
camera for facial recognition or iris detection or a finger print reader which
supports the Window Biometric Framework.
Continuum: This lets you switch from PC mode to tablet
mode (using the device with or without keyboard). It is available on all Windows 10 editions by
manually turning “tablet mode” on and off through the Action Center. Tablets
and 2-in-1’s with GPIO indicators or those that have a laptop and slate
indicator will be able to be configured to enter “tablet mode” automatically.

The upgrade is free for as long as the device is working. Those who do not upgrade in the first year will need to purchase a Windows 10 license to upgrade. You must reserve your Windows upgrade for each device. The reservation is associated with the device not the user.
